Tuesday, May 22, 2012 I see too many Ladder Truck drivers that just get the piece there and stand around doing nothing! The Ladder Truck driver should be working as hard if not harder than the riders of the piece! With that being said…………



Did you take the best position possible, are all the points of egress laddered, windows vented, opened and cleaned out with the ladder to the sill, stick or boom to the roof or highest window egress, bars removed from the windows,  ladders to the roof for secondary egress of vertical ventilation team? The Ladder Truck IS NOT a retirement or hiding position, it’s a working position!
